A landing page is an important digital tool needed to increase your sales. They provide a focused environment to guide your prospects toward a specific action – buying your products or signing up for your services.
However, how are landing pages built and what makes them special? In this post, I have compiled 6 steps I use to build landing pages that 10x your sales. Make sure to read these steps, as they are crucial in the success of your sales campaign.
First, “How can a landing page help me sell more?”, you might ask. Well, think of a landing page as the spot where prospective customers land and are ready to decide whether to buy. To succeed, you need to make it really appealing so they convert to paying customers, otherwise, they might just leave and go somewhere else. You wouldn’t want that.
Without any delays, let’s see these steps.
The hero section of a landing page plays a pivotal role in capturing visitor’s attention and conveying essential information about your service in a concise and visually engaging manner.
Each time a prospective customer comes in there, their reaction should be, “Ah, yes, finally, this is what I have been looking for!”
To get such a reaction, the headline should convey the main benefit or solution your product or service offers. Here is an example for a food canteen.
This is a food canteen I wouldn’t want to miss out on. DELICIOUS!
Identify and describe the specific problem or pain points your target audience is experiencing, this way, you are able to connect with their current situation.
Next, emphasize the negative consequences, frustrations, or discomfort that arise from the identified problem. This evokes stronger emotions and creates a sense of urgency for a solution.
Finally, introduce your product or service as the solution to the problems highlighted in the previous steps. Emphasize how your offering addresses the pain points, alleviates their frustrations, and provide the desired relief. Here’s an example of how that can be done.
Pain: Are you a bachelor who likes to eat but dread going to the kitchen?
Agitate: Tired of hunger hitting you hard, yet the thought of stepping into the kitchen fills you with dread?
Solution: Say Bye-Bye to cooking and come eat hot home cooked meal at Diwura’s Buka. Indulge in a variety of mouthwatering dishes prepared by our skilled chefs and savor your meals without the cooking hassle!
DELICIOUS!
Now, you have the attention of your prospect, WHAT NEXT?
Display a list of the best product or services you offer. This can be done by:
Here’s an example of the services provided by a fitness center:
Imagine explaining all the wonderful benefits of your products and services, but your prospect understands only 10%, they will likely not convert.
Use pictures to convey your message visually. When used strategically, can significantly improve your landing page’s conversion rate by appealing to visual learners, conveying information quickly, and creating an emotional connection with visitors.

Gain your prospect’s trust using reviews (social proof).
It is a potent conversion optimization tool for landing pages. It provides real-world evidence of the value your product or service offers, establishes credibility, and builds trust with potential customers.
To get reviews from customers, you can use the Google My Business tool (which we help our customers set up), yelp, Facebook reviews, LinkedIn recommendations, or have it designed on your landing page
THIS IS THE ICING ON THE CAKE!
How can you put all these efforts and have all these juicy delicious products and your prospect just passes by without buying? NOOO!
Have a CTA (Call-to-action). A CTA is a crucial element of a landing page that prompts visitors to take a specific action, such as making a purchase, signing up for a newsletter, requesting more information, or any other desired action.
CTAs should be:
Clear and Specific, Action-Oriented, Urgent, Highlight Benefits, Visible, and Above the Fold. Here is an example of a food delivery company.
Landing pages provide a focused and optimized environment to guide your prospects toward a specific action, whether it’s making a purchase, signing up or engaging with the brand.
When designed and executed effectively, landing pages can significantly impact a business’s sales growth by optimizing the user journey, providing relevant offers, and enhancing the overall conversion process. However, it’s important to remember that the success of a landing pages depends on various factors, including the quality of the offer, the clarity of the message, and the alignment with the target audience’s needs.
